Bruns is the first German tree nursery to be awarded the MPS-A Certificate by the MPS Foundation for exceptional environmentally compatible production. This certificate attests that the plants at Bruns’ are grown with very little crop protection agents and fertilisers as well as with resource-saving water management.

MPS-Socially Qualified
Bruns is in the process of applying for the MPS-SQ certificate and is currently participating in the scheme. This qualification will demonstrate that Bruns’ products are cultivated under good working conditions. The jury’s considerations are based on universal human rights, the codes of conduct of local representative organisations and International Labour Organization (ILO) agreements. The Dutch Flower Consultation NBB (represented by FNV Bondgenoten, Both Ends and the Latin American Activities Organisation) has been closely involved in incorporating these international codes of conduct (ICC) within MPS.
MPS-Florimark
Bruns is also currently applying for is the MPS-Florimark. It attests to sustainability and certifies environmental, social and quality aspects. It also enables Bruns to use the Fair Flowers Fair Plants (FFP) consumer label.
